All Smiles when Lea's Shackled

Last night was a family affair when Dahlia is now, engaged. The Family of Haji Mazidi visited Mulaut Family to discuss future prospects between the two families.. *ehem*

Haji Japar made a superb job presenting on behalf of the family and so as Hj Bakir on behalf of the visitor. I actually love witnessing their dialogue especially when Haji Japar uses interesting terms like 'Bunga', 'garan' really shows his wittiness and wisdom as an 'orang tua-tua' .. full of symbolic and metaphoric meaning, which made me and others smile throughout the event.

Cracked jokes and warmth promises closer prospects umm.. probably this December. Right Dahlia? hehe

Forward..

I have been attending few tests nowadays because i feel that the time is ripe to move forward and grab the opportunities where ever it lies. Opportunities are everywhere.

A few days ago, a friend of mine questioned my motive for attending those test, as if i am not 'bersyukur' and greedy. But then again his opinions are his to keep and i am not affected at all by his words.

Alhamdulillah, because i am forever grateful for what God has given me. Infact, correct me if i am wrong but religion also told us that learning is a lifelong process and improving our way of life is much encouraged.

I think it is up to oneself to make these important decision, and all i'm doing is nonetheless for my future, my family and the people close to me.

Perspective on Prospects

This photo, i took while i was in San Francisco in front of The Pink Lady (the pink house). The bus stopped just infront the house and i love these tulips.

I can say that i am a bit happy with the current situation I am in. I have lost some weight but i believe i need to lose a bit more. Working is one of my favorite routine (although tiring at times) but because by doing so, i am able to maintain (if not ease) some financial obligations and save more for more travel plans. After Los Angeles, i am beginning to love the idea of traveling to places i've never been before. To live life to the fullest with my loved ones before i can venture into more important life cycle. Life cycle? ...

Syahmi turns 5!

I need much catching up to do to 'revive' this near dead blog hehe.

But how could i not include my favourite nephews' 5th Birthday Celebration. Yes, its Syahmi - my cute cuddly nephew that i dearly love.

He's bright a kid, full of surprises and laughs a lot. I like a kid who laughs a lot cause they cheer me up. So what happen is that, his Mum and Dad invite us over our parent's residence to grace his 5th Birthday occasion.

All members of immediate family was present but i couldn't shoot all their photos, camera's acting up.

The kid of the hour with his lovely sister, Sarah

then its Food Fest, as usual but the now slimmer bestfriend decides to eat less.. so sayang hehe

bestfriend, Izyan and mom

I was searching for photos of Syahmi's Mom and Dad but realize that i have used up camera's memory. Well, congratulations anyway to Susy and Sofian for raising this cute kid.

The Tough Get Going..

March is about to end and i've realized that the blog is growing cobweb again. Been much preoccupied with small matters that needs attention.

However, i will be updating Being Dewy today which will feature some activities on Dzikir Maulud at parent's residence, Syahmi's Birthday party and on my sudden decision to leave my other job.

Dzikir Maulud at parents residence was held on 26th February 2010. My mom wishes to organize in moderation because as one of the members of Muslimah Mulaut, its her turn to invite other members for Dzikir Maulud which also happens to fall on Maulud Nabi day itself.

Power of Expression

People are accustomed to being nice to others although treatment from the other party is not mutual. But how do we know if we have done the right thing in everything? Is being nice a key to every step we take? Because sometimes we need to speak out rather than concealing the truth although speaking out may also lead to misunderstanding and harshness.

It has come to my understanding that some people don't like to speak out as end results depends on the person you are trying to rely the information to. These people may not take your views positively. Whilst some prefer to keep quiet, i opt to speak out and be honest (if i may describe it that way).

Being honest too has its consequences. A lot actually. But to me, being honest is a key to trust and respect, among other qualities one should reckon with.

These are end results of that power of expression...

Izyan's Birthday Bash

She celebrated her birthday on Sunday 8th February 2010 in one restaurant located in Jerudong. As the event started at 5pm, i came half an hour late due to some unforseen circumstances.

Photo shows birthday girl mingles away happily.

Hubby could not make it that afternoon, so it was only me and Bijul. I bought Izyan a Gucci Bag and a pair of elegant slippers for the Cinderella of the day.

Warm ambience and tasty Thai food. A good day for the whole family.
